Tax Forms

Like any other US entity, LivePerson is required by the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to collect taxpayer information from each person receiving funds from LivePerson.

The information collected will be used solely to fulfill LivePerson’s IRS requirement to file 1099 forms, and will not be used in any other way. If we do not have this information on file, the IRS will require us to withhold 28% tax (US Citizens) or 30% tax (Non-US Citizens) from all future LivePerson commission payouts.

In order to properly complete our IRS reporting requirements, we will need to receive either Form W-9 or Form W-8BEN declaring your tax status.

US Taxpayers (Form W-9)
If you are a US taxpayer (for example a US corporation, a US partnership, a US citizen or a US resident alien) you should submit the W-9 Form.

The following link will direct you to the IRS W-9 Form and instructions for filling it out:

Non-US Taxpayers (Form W-8BEN)

If you do not live in the US, nor do you have any activity in the US (for example: your company is not incorporated in the US, nor you have any employees or equipment located in the US), you should submit the W-8BEN Form.
